Olean Toastmasters is a member of Toastmasters International.
We meet the second and fourth Sunday of each month at 6:00. Currently we meet at Cojones Cantina, 203 West State Street, Olean. Please call or email to verify if meetings are taking place on a holiday weekend.
Meetings usually last about an hour and a half. Participants practice and learn skills by filling a meeting role ranging from giving a prepared speech or an impromptu one, to serving as timer, evaluator, or grammarian.
There is no instructor; instead, each speech and meeting is critiqued by a member in a positive manner, focusing on what was done right and what could be improved.
